At the heart of Godawaya Holding (Private) Limited is a vision to harness Sri Lanka's mineral potential responsibly. This vision was conceived in 2022 by two distinguished figures in the mineral sciences and academic community: Professor C.B. Dissnayake (deceased) and Professor Nalin Rathnayaka.

Inspired by a shared commitment to sustainable development, these academic pioneers envisioned an entity that would not only explore and develop Sri Lanka's mineral resources but also serve as a steward for environmental enhancement and a catalyst for regional growth. Their collective expertise and aspiration laid the foundation for Godawaya Holding's mission to discover Sri Lanka's mineral resources using leading edge technology and responsibly develop them. Their aspiration remains the core business concept that powers Godawaya’s purpose & vision.
